Over the past several years, our inboxes have been flooded with heartfelt stories from both cancer survivors and their support systems telling us how our scarves have helped to bring warmth and comfort to themselves and their loved ones in a time of need. From chilly waiting rooms, long chemotherapy treatments and days of rest, they’ve told us that their scarf came in handy with the changing temperatures and the versatility needed while navigating this journey.
As a result, we felt compelled to give back and support this important part of our community. We choose the Vera Bradley Foundation because of their dedication to developing and dramatically improving therapies for some of the most difficult-to-treat types of breast cancer, including triple negative breast cancer. Throughout the month of October, zestt will be participating in a variety of initiatives to support breast cancer patients, survivors and research, including:
- 5% Pledge: Throughout the month of October, 5% of the sales of our Blush Colorblock and Blush Banded Dreamsoft Travel Scarves will be donated to the Vera Bradley Foundation to help support breast cancer research. To help further impact our efforts, we are excited to be partnering with our stockist, GoodMRKT in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with 5% of their full dreamsoft scarf collection sales also benefiting the Vera Bradley Foundation.
- Scarf Donations: zestt organics will be donating scarves to 3 hospitals, in Florida, Maryland and Indiana to help provide comfort to their patients in need.
- Roundtable Event: On October 5th, 2022 we will be partnering with our stockist GoodMRKT to host a roundtable event featuring breast cancer survivor and Vera Bradley Foundation chair Tina Conrad, Vera Bradley Foundation executive director Stephanie Scheele along with leading researchers from Lutheran Hospital to discuss today's challenges and breakthroughs centered around breast cancer treatment and prevention.
We are beyond excited to help support such an important cause that has touched so many of our lives. We are grateful for our partner GoodMRKT and so thankful for the diligent work of the Vera Bradley Foundation. Most importantly, we are thankful for every single customer who is helping us make these donations possible. Let’s go PINK!
