A Day In Denver

This week we guide you to a new city and new ways to explore.

Why Denver?

Located on rolling plains with a grand view of the Rocky Mountains there is no better view than Denver, Colorado. From the moment you set off the plane you are surrounded by beautiful scenery stretching for miles in all directions. Yet the city offers every convenience and experience you could want. From museums and family fun to breweries and artistic eateries you will never fall short of finding something to  love.

Best Local Eats

In the mood for American small plates? Look no further than "neighborhood nexus and sensory rabble-rouser" Root Down. This converted filling station now serves fresh-from-the-earth seasonal dishes for brunch or dinner alongside skillfully crafted cocktails.

Tourist Trap that is worth the stop

A zoo may not be the first thing you think of when looking for entertainment in the city but the Denver Zoo, located in City Park, is well worth a visit. This 84-acre campus is home to more than 3,000 wild animals. Beyond the joy of watching these creatures in their habitats you an take advantage of Denver Zoo's award winning education efforts with demonstrations throughout the day and learn about how the staff goes above and beyond for wildlife conservation.

Notable Landmark

Just a short 20 minute drive from the city is Red Rocks Park & Amphitheater. The only naturally-occurring, acoustically perfect amphitheater in the world, Red Rocks is not only a great place to catch a concert but a diverse environment to see plants, birds and animals of both the Great Plains and the Rocky Mountains. This natural beauty is a site not to be missed.
