Meet The Ballog! As a supporter of local, independent and socially conscious artisans they understand the importance of knowing the brand and cultivating strong relationships. We met Kathy at the Atlanta Home and Gift Show and have enjoyed getting to know her and the beautiful story behind this store over the last few years.
Meet The Founders
Kathy and her daughters launched the shop in 2015. Kathy is the owner and has a long history of retail merchandising and creating experiences. Kelsey is the creative director and buyer for the store. Lindsay manages events and marketing and Shelby works on the social media side.
The story behind the brand
At The Ballog we only carry brands that are socially conscious, independent or local. Our shop is owned and led by a mother/daughter team and is named for our very creative Grandmother - Mary Ballog.
Why does The Ballog choose to purchase organic products?
We understand the importance of living a clean and non-toxic lifestyle and we want the same for our customers. More specifically, two of the women on our leadership team have chronic diseases caused by endocrine disruptors and those diagnoses have led us all down the path of eliminating environmental toxins. Major wins in this journey - organic makes a difference!
Do you have a favorite zestt product?
The Comfy Knit Throw is a favorite for sure! Kathy has the gray one in her house and it is so soft and cozy.
Is there a new zestt Spring intro you are most looking forward to?
We are excited to get more of the travel scarves! In addition to traveling, they are perfect for transitional weather in Georgia. The soft colors are so pretty for Spring too!
